Happy/Merry ________________ (insert your preference in the blank)

To beat a dead horse I'm going to say:  "I can't believe another year is coming to an end.  2011, I hardly knew thee.  But, considering the nightmare that was 2010, I can look back on 2011 with a smile at least.

First off, Psycho Holocaust was finally released.  Shot in 2007, this movie had it's bumps getting a release.  I must have spent two years alone editing, mixing, tweaking, until finally walking away from it in early 2010.  But, then at the very end of 2010, it got picked up by Independent Entertainment!!  Two months after its NC premier nonetheless!!

Rags, a dark comedy/horror movie I wrote and directed back in May of 2010 is having its own premier this Friday, December 3rd at Brent Bower's theater, the very same theater that was kind enough to run Psycho Holocaust.  I'm praying that the same momentum that followed PH follows Rags after its showing.  I want to thank Brent Bowers for allowing not one, but two of my movies to be screened in his private theater.  Thank you Brent!

For Christmas last year I got a Kindle.  The main reason behind this was to read Edward Lee novels that I couldn't afford to buy in print.  Little did I know I would become addicted to the device, and go from one of its loathers to one of its lovers.  Oh, Kindle, I adore you!!!

And, I finally contracted two books this year.  Two!  It was a tough journey, but it finally happened.  And, not only that, I'm working with Don D'Auria, an editor who's work I've admired for years.  I couldn't ask for anyone better.

Let me also thank Louise Fury at the L. Perkins Agency for picking me up, and wanting to help me get my stories anywhere I possibly can.  I am a proud member of Team Fury.

I sincerely hope that when you look back on 2011 that you can smile, knowing that even if it wasn't the best year, it wasn't the worst year, and there is always another year that can knock your socks off.  I'm proof of that.  From having the absolute worst 2010, I dreaded the following year, but thankfully, it proved to me that there is always something good that awaits you.

Sometimes, you have to be knocked onto your back to look up and see Heaven.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
